Endowment Fund
Your support for the Endowment Fund for Financial Aid allows The American School Foundation to provide financial aid to qualified students who otherwise would not be able to join the school or complete their studies. It is based on an need-based application process and includes a complete socioeconomic study by a third-party agency.
We currently provide financial aid to 16% of the student body with an average 50% discount rate. Our goal is to increase our outreach and to be helping 20% of our students. All annual donations and proceeds from fundraising events support our financial aid program.
Capital Fund
The land where the school was built was donated, and all the ASF facilities were constructed with funding from donations by families and our community. Recent facilities built as a result of fundraising efforts include the Sheila Rafferty Ahumada Administration Building, Lipu Transportation Center, Ángeles Espinosa Yglesias Fine Arts Center and Jenkins Foundation Wellness Center.
The school is now planning to renovate the Lower School and Early Childhood Center and construct a bridge to connect both facilities.
Naming opportunities from prior campaigns are still available and new ones will open in the near future. Philanthropic naming provides enduring recognition that creates a lasting legacy.
Special Projects
SABINA OLPER MEMORIAL FUND
We come together as a community with a heavy heart on behalf of Sabina Olper (‘14), a beloved Bear who passed away on July 13, 2021 after a six year battle with cancer.
Her mother and a fellow Upper School teacher, Renée Olper (‘85), has been receiving an outpouring of love and support for her and the entire Olper Benuzillo family. A lot of friends, classmates and students have reached out to ask for a way to honor Sabina.
Sabina comes from a family that has always been part of the ASF home, which is why Renée’s classmates wanted to honor Sabina’s memory by leaving a legacy at the one place that has been a cornerstone for the entire family for four generations.
What better way to honor Sabina’s memory than by establishing a fund for Financial Aid at the institution that has been such an integral part of their lives.

Alumni Paw Prints
In November 2020 the first Alumni Fund was founded with the goal to support children of Alumni with Financial Aid ensuring that the ASF Legacy is passed on to the next generation. ASF Alumni will continue to help children of Alumni on their path to be part of our school’s legacy as ASF will continue its success in this endeavor to offer an excellent educational experience.
We know our alumni can make a world of difference. More than anyone, alumni understand the school’s mission and values and why it's important to enable children of alumni to attend ASF. We can change the world one child at a time, one family at a time and one community at a time.
In-Kind Donations
At ASF, we greatly value the generosity of our community members who contribute through in-kind donations. These contributions play a vital role in enhancing our school’s programs, events, and facilities.
Whether you’re looking to support our academic initiatives, community events, or ongoing construction projects, your in-kind donation can make a meaningful impact. From educational materials and technology to supplies for school events or building resources, there are many ways to contribute to our vibrant school community.
If you have goods or services you would like to donate, please reach out to our team. Your support helps us create a richer learning environment and a stronger, more connected community.
Thank you for considering an in-kind donation to ASF. Together, we can continue to build a brighter future for our students.

Families For Families
The Parent Association is thrilled to unveil our latest community initiative—an opportunity to come together and make a lasting impact.
We're aiming to raise $1,100,000 pesos as a community to support ASF students with financial aid so no student is forced to leave ASF for financial reasons.
Let's work together for the same cause and be the difference-makers they need!"
